The Fool has discovered the divine feminine stationed at the entrance into the subconscious/underworld. Written on the two pillars are Boaz and Jachin. From Hebrew those translate to, “in his strength, he will establish.”

The number two represents the power of the moon and our emotions. As this card brings understanding of our empathy and nurturing side, so does the numerology. Both the numerology of two and the high priestess give way to the divine feminine energy.

When the High Priestess is in a reading the card represents a lot. It can range from intuition to spiritual enlightenment. As she holds the scroll of the Divine Knowledge, one must have balance with their feminine and masculine energies in order to receive her guidance.

The right side up representation in a spread is a call to trusting one’s gut. The high priestess is trying to convey that the world may not be what it seems. The veil between our world and the underworld is more thin than it seems. The answers you desire are within.

The reversed meaning in a spread is a warning of being sucked into drama. One needs to recognize if their opinions are their own or are they being swayed by others. Get back in touch with the feminine energy and quit distrusting your gut.
